Hermes fusion image analysis heading
HERMES provides a comprehensive software toolkit designed for co-registration, analysis, comparison, and fusion of image data from various modalities including PET, NM, CT, CR, MRI, and ultrasound. HERMES achieves fully automated 3D registration through use of efficient published algorithms including mutual information. If present, transmission data can also be used to assist with the registration of PET or SPECT data to CT or MRI studies. Images may also be registered using manually predetermined anatomical landmarks. Up to three orthogonal slices may be compared at once, allowing fast and accurate selection of landmark pairs.
HERMES offers advanced qualitative and quantitative analysis of registered images, facilitating side-by-side comparison employing synchronized cursors, regions and volumes of interest, profiles, and image fusion. Up to three orthogonal slices can be compared at once. Synchronized cross hairs can be used to pinpoint the location of sites of abnormal uptake simultaneously on the co-registered anatomical and emission datasets. Data may be re-sliced ‘on-the-fly’ for viewing in any orientation. HERMES allows coregistered results to be saved, distributed by DICOM, and viewed and fused remotely via JaRViS™ or encrypted RAPID™ CD.
